Naval service: Renommée was captured by HMS Astraea 20.5.1811 off Foulpointe (Madagascar) and became HMS Java. Ariane and Anfromaque were intercepted by British ship Northumberland and sloop Growler, grounded 22.5.1812 off Lorient and fired to avoid capture. Rubis wrecked in a storm 5.2.1813 on Tamara Island, Guinea, and fired by crew. Fidèle was 16.8.1809 captured by British ships at the seizure of Flushing. Élisa wrecked at night 22.12.1810 near Réville. Clorinde was captured by British frigate Dryad and sloop Achates 26.2.1814 off Ushant and became HMS Aurora. Méduse stranded 2.7.1816 on the Bank of Arguin and abandoned three days later. Sultane was 26.3.1814 captured by British ship Hannibal off Ile de Batz and commissioned by the RN under the same name. Étoile was captured off La Hogue 27.3.1814 by British frigate Hebrus and sloop Sparrow and entered the RN as Topaze. Corona was captured by British frigate Active at the Battle of Lissa 13.3.1811 and became HMS Daedalus. Favorite at the Battle of Lissa 13.3.1811 beached and burned on Lissa after receiving heavy damage. Melpomène was captured 30.4.1815 by British ship Rivoli between Ischia and Procida Isles off Naples. Astrée was captured by British forces in the capitulation of Ile de France (Mauritius) 4.12.1810, becoming HMS Pomone. Iphigénie was captured by British ship Venerable and sloop Cyane 20.1.1814 off the Canaries and became HMS Palma. Galatée was stricken at Toulon 6.5.1837 after being damaged in collision with ship Trident. Résolue wrecked 23.6.1833 in a storm at Cape Levi near Cherbourg. Terpsichore was captured by British ship Majestic 3.2.1814 off the Azores and entered Royal Navy as Modeste. Trave was captured by British frigate Andromache and sloop Achates 23.10.1813 in the English Channel and became HMSTrave. Weser was captured by Britsh sloops Scylla and Royalist 21.10.1813 in the English Channel and became HMS Weser. Africaine wrecked 16.5.1822 in the fog on Sable Island (Nova Scotia). Principessa di Bologna and Piave were captured by Austrian forces at the occupation of Venice and entered Austrian Navy under the same names. Cérès was captured 6.1.1814 by British frigates Niger and Tagus between Brazil and Cape Verde Islands and became HMS Seine.
