Project history: Steel-hulled sloop, sheathed and coppered, with a ram bow and overhanging stern, barquentine rigged. The 139mm was on the forecastle with one 100mm on the poop and the others in upper deck sponsons.

Modernizations: None.

Naval service: Kersaint was lost by stranding on a reef at Tahiti 5.3.1919.
