1856: new engine was installed: 1 4-cyl HSE, direct action, 1530hp, 12.4kts, 2915t displacement, 6.25m mean draught.

by 1861: armament consisted of 12 x 1 - 165/17 30pdr No.1 SBML, 16 x 1 - 165/14 MLR
