Project history: A ship-rigged, wooden-hulled cruiser with clipper bow, overhanging stern, forecastle and poop. The funnel was abaft the foremast. The 165mm guns were in upper deck sponsons with the 139mm on the main deck, two being right aft and the rest on the broadside.
