Project history: 3rd class cruisers for colonial service, wood-sheathed and coppered.

Ship protection: Curved armour deck had 43-38mm flat part amidships and 20mm at the ends. There was a small CT. Guns had shields.

Modernizations: None.

Naval service: Infernet was stranded 22.11.1910 at Les Sables-d'Olonne near La Rochelle in a gale.
