Project history: Laid down by Armstrong for Royal Navy as L67 and L68, but in March, 1919 the order was cancelled by Admiralty. Both submarines were launched (16.6.1919 and 2.7.1919 respectively) to exempt a slipway. In October, 1919 they were sold by British Government to builder. In 1926 the contract with Vickers-Armstrong on their completion for Yugoslavian Navy was concluded, then both hulls were again lifted on a shipway and commenced building under slightly updated project. Saddle-tank hull. Both arrived to Yugoslavia 8.4.1928.
Modernizations: early 1930s: CT was rebuilt, guns were moved to the deck.
late 1930s, both: + 1 x 1 - 13.2/76.
Naval service: Hrabri was captured at Kotor 17.4.1941; she was enlisted by Regia Marina as N3, but owing to bad technical condition she was never really commissioned and late 1941 sold for scrap. Nebojša 9.4.1941 departed for battle campaign and after capitulation of Yugoslavian Army escaped to Alexandria where has arrived 27.4.1941. She was used as training hulk and battery recharging plant for British submarines. In August, 1945 she returned to Yugoslavia and commissioned by new Yugoslavian Navy as Tara, however actually she was never used as battle boat and served as training hulk at Split.
