Project history: In late 1917 for Austro-Hungarian Navy a MT class of 14 minesweepers-minelayers on Danubius (Porto Ré, subsequently Yugoslavian Kraljevitsa) was laid down. Till the end of First World War only 3 ships were commissioned, in 1920 they were commissioned by Italian Navy (Albona class). Remained hulls continued to rust on the stocks, and only in 1931 five of them were completed for Yugoslavian Navy.
Modernizations: late 1930s, all: - 1 x 1 - 66/27; + 1 x 1 - 47/40 L/44 (Škoda)
Naval service: All 5 ships were captured by German troops in Kotor Bay 17.4.1941 and transferred to Italy. They were commissioned by Italians as Arbe (ex-Malinska), Meleda (ex-Mljet), Pasman (ex-Mosor), Solta (ex-Meljine) and Ugliano (ex-Marjan). Arbe 9.9.1943 was captured by German troops at Genoa in damaged condition and never commissioned again. Pasman in September, 1943 also was captured by Germans and transferred to Croatian Navy; 31.12.1943 she wrecked at island Ist and 5.1.1944 was destroyed at the same place by Yugoslavian Guerilla ship NB3. Solta and Meleda were returned to Yugoslavian Government in exile 7.12.1943, Ugliano was returned 16.2.1944.
