Project history: Former Italian banana carrier Ramb III sunk as German auxiliary minelayer Kiebitz in 1944. Refloated and reconstructed after the war. Also used as presidential yacht and fleet flagship. Since late 1960s she served as training ship.

Modernizations: late 1960s: - 4 x 1 - 88/45, 6 x 4 - 20/65; + 2 x 4 - 20/80 M75

Naval service: No significant events.
