Project history: Authorized under the Act of 4.5.1898. Turtle deck forward and four funnels in one group with two single TTs aft and far aft. Apparently the least satisfactory sea-boats of the '400-tonners' as the gun armament of 2 76mm and 5 57mm was reduced before commission to 7 57mm. Designed speed of 30kts was not made on trials by at least a knot.
Modernizations: None.
Naval service: No significant events.
