Project history: Ship of intermediate type, usually classified as a torpedo gunboat, in Navy of Uruguay was rated as cruiser. She was built in Germany (Stettin), but armed with guns of Škoda and Armstrong. Uruguay arrived to Montevideo 20.8.1910.
Ship protection: Machinery spaces were protected by 17mm deck.
Modernizations: None.
Naval service: Uruguay was used also for training duties, she was stricken in May, 1951 and sold for scrap in August, 1962.
