Project history: Last, 5th series of 600t submarines of Italian navy. Repetition of Adua class with with less size CT for stability improvement and decreasing of silhouette. Also power of diesels was raised. Bronzo was captured by British minesweepers Boston, Cromarty, Poole and Seeham 12.7.1943 off Syracuse.
