Project history: Trials gunboat. Experimentally fitted initially with the 343mm gun intended for new battleships.
Modernizations: 1900s: - 1 x 1 - 343/30; + 1 x 1 - 190/45 BL Mk I, 1 x 1 - 102/40 QF Mk I

Naval service: Snapper was sold 27.4.1924, sold again to shipbreakers in the 1970s but not BU and was afloat in 2002 at Portsmouth.
