Project history: Slightly modified versions of the Childers built by the same firm for the state marine of Victoria, Australia. Towards the end they could only make about 15kts.
Modernizations: 1890s, both: were reboilered with water-tube boilers
1900s, both: - 1 x 1 - 356 TT
Naval service: Both were sent to Malta on completion and were sold there in 1907.
