Project history: Ships of 3rd group were beamier as previous for improving of stability and were armed by new 114mm (really 120mm) Mk V guns. Only two Australian ships were completed. Cammell Laird's Vimeira and Fairfield's Ypres were never really laid down.

Naval service: Anzac was converted to TS in 1966, "B" turret, all twin and one single Boforses were removed.
