Project history: 110-guns three-deckers. An enlarged version of the design of the 1801 Boyne class. Design amended in 1813 to provide a round bow and circular stern. Broadened by 0.4m during construction to carry additional weight of armament, an extra 3.5m section added amidships to gain extra length. Rerated 104-gun in 1835.
