Project history: Designed initially for Dardanelles by James Pollock & Sons of Faversham, who provided Bolinder diesels to a large number of sub-contractors. DX1-25 were intended to be towed by X-lighters.
Modernizations: None.
Naval service: One, X22 was used as a decoy vessel, and several were transferred to the Indian Government for operations in Mesopotamia. Most were sold or used for subsidiary duties by 1925, but 32 lasted until the Second World War.
