Project history: Last British version of LST, however application of heavier VTE and riveted hull instead of welded led to that the British variant yielded American on all parametres, except speed.

Modernizations: 1964, Lofoten: + flight deck for helicopters, 6 Wessex helos.

Naval service: No significant events.
