Project history: 21 small passenger ships, basically fast ferries for La Manche were converted to medium and small infantry transports in 1941-1944. Additionally, 13 ships with capacity from 1641 to 4220BRT were used as LSI(S) and LSI(H) in 1942-1943.

Modernizations:  None.

Naval service:  Prince Leopold was sunk by German submarine U621 29.7.1944, Prince Phillippe collided with s/s Empire Wave 15.7.1941.
