Project history: Transports for delivery LCM landing craft to landing place. There were LSS, LSG, LSD and LSC types. LSD have been received from the USA by lend-lease and were equipped by the dock in aft part of hull. It was planned to transfer LSD13 Spear (Portway), LSD14 Sword (Swashway) and LSD15 Shadwell (Waterway) in 1944, but these ships were commissioned by USN as Casa Grande, Rushmore and Shadwell.
