Project history: LCI(L) were built in the USA and delivered by lend-lease. 30 craft were transferred to Canada. 20 converted to command and control ships differed slightly, basically by an additional communication facility, were designated as LCH.  

Modernizations:  None.

Naval service:  20 LCI(L) were converted to amphibious command craft LCH (or LCI(H)).
