Project history: Coastal submarines ordered in the Netherlands in 1925. First ships, built for Turkish Navy after the First World War. Project Pu46 was developed by IvS on a basis of German submarine of UB III type. On trials they shown up to 14.3/9.5kts. Names were originally written as Birindji-In-Uni and Ikindji-In-Uni. Both submarines departured from Rotterdam under Turkish flag and arrived to Istanbul 9.6.1928.

Modernizations: mid-1940s, both: + 1 x 1 - 20/70 Oerlikon Mk IV.

Naval service: No significant events.
