Project history: Scout type gunboat. Designed for coast guard work in the Red Sea and the Persian Gulf. She was brigantine rigged, had a sail area of 480m2. One 65mm gun was mounted fore, one aft and two others amidships in sponsons. The TT was in the bow above the water

Modernizations: 1908: - 1 - 450 TT

Naval service: Marmaris was scuttled at Basra after being disabled on 2 June 1915 by the British sloop Odin S of Amara on the River Tigris.
