Modernizations: 1880: new armament consisted of 2 x 1 - 87/19 RK L/20 C/75

1890: new armament consisted of 2 x 1 - 75/37 SK L/40 C/91, 2 x 1 - 25/42 Nordenfelt

Naval service: İzzeddin was converted to hulk in 1908 but was scrapped only in 1921. She was seized by Greeks 15.11.1912 and was returned to Turkey only 1919.
