Project history: The steel-hulled first class TBs had a straight stem, a turtleback forecastle over the two 356mm bow TTs, and one funnel set to one side.
Modernizations: None.
Naval service: Seham sank 21.4.1901 in the outer harbour at Beirut after a boiler explosion; 27 lives were lost. Şahab was heavily damaged 24.3.1901 by boiler explosion 24.3.1901 at Selanik. She was never repaired, towed to Istanbul and sold for scrap in 1909.
