Project history: Ordered under the 1929 programme.
Design was developed by experts of Ansaldo on basis
of Italian destroyer Folgore, from which Turkish ships differed, first of
all by guns arrangement: in single mounts, as on British and French ships of
given type. It demanded length increase, breadth was thus moderated for providing of higher
speed. Together with highly arranged armament, it has finished stability, to critical
level. Two-funneled outline profile became one more significant difference doing Turkish destroyers
a little similar to prototype.
On trials ships made up to 41kts at 52000hp. 533mm torpedo calibre
was used in Turkey for the first time.
Modernizations: 1942, both: + 2 x 1 - 20/70 Oerlikon Mk II/IV
Naval service: Since 1947 till exception from fleet list they were used for training.
