Project history: Fast torpedo gunboats; in Turkish Navy they officially were rated as torpedo cruisers. Successful ships, but because of strong machinery deterioration and unsatisfactory maintenance to WWI beginning they substantially lost battle efficiency. In particular, in 1915 Peik-i-Shevket could made only 18kts.
Modernizations: (1937-1938, Gölcük Tersane), Peyk: hull and superstructures were reconstructed; real speed was 18kts, endurance 2000(10)nm; - 2 x 1 - 105/37, 2 x 1 - 37/42, 1 - 450 TT (bow); + 2 x 1 - 88/42 SK L/45 C/09

Naval service: Berk-i-Satvet 2.1.1915 received serious damages on Russian mine. Peik-i-Shevket 6.8.1915 was torpedoed by British submarine E11; both ships were under repair till 1917. After First World War Peyk was laid up at Istanbul. In 1937-1938 both survived ships passed repair and modernization: superstructures were reconstructed, ship ends (new stem and transom stern) were altered. After that they were used as patrols and TSs though officially continued to be rated as torpedo cruisers. Both were handed over on demolition only in 1953-1955.
