Project history: Wooden-hulled, ship-rigged sloops, these vessels were sheathed and coppered and featured raked masts and one funnel between the fore- and mainmasts.

Modernizations: 1888, both survived: were armed with 2 x 1 - 149/22 RK L/25 C/75, 2 x 1 - 120/22 RK L/25 C/78, 3 x 1 - 37/20 Hotchkiss, 2 x 1 - 25/42 Nordenfelt.

Naval service: Lübnan foundered in April 1867 off Milo Ada in heavy weather.
