Project history: Transferred in 1994. All had outer hull planking replaced prior to delivery in Taiwan; they were formally commissioned at Kaohsiung in 1995. Wooden construction; nonmagnetic, stainless-steel machinery. Hoist machinery for the SQQ-14 minehunting sonar occupies the position of the former 40-mm AA gun. Plans to update their mine-countermeasures systems have not reached fruition.
Modernizations: None.
Naval service: No significant events.
