Project history: Former USN detsroyer escorts of GMT (Evarts) class, leased to China. Both ships escaped to Taiwan in 1949. Armament was strengthened.
Modernizations: None.
Naval service: 14.11.1954 Tai Ping was torpedoed and sunk by Communist torpedo boats off Tachen Islands.
