Project history: Älvsnabben was laid down as merchant vessel, soon bought by the Navy and completed as a minelayer. Officially was classified as a cruiser-minelayer.

Modernizations: 1961: - 2 x 1 - 152/43, 4 x 2 - 40/60, 6 x 1 - 20/66, 2 DCR; + 2 x 1 - 57/60 M50, 2 x 1 - 40/70 M48, radars

Naval service: No significant events.
