Project history: Voted 19 November 1948. First non-Soviet destroyers with anti-ship missiles. Bofors 120mm guns were fully automatic (40rpm) and also AA. Missile magazine was below aft superstructure with launcher above the aft triple TT.

    In 1955 there were voted Lappland and Värmland, but their building was newer begun and they were cancelled in 1958.

1967, Småland; 1969, Halland: - 1 x 2 Rb08 SSM, Scanter 009, M45 radars; + 1 x 2 Rb20 SSM (2 Rb20), LW-02/03, 9LV 200 Mk 2, WM20 radars

1980, Halland: - LW-02/03 radar

Naval service: Halland served as TS from 1980.
