Project history: The original ship which was officially registered on a cruiser-minelayer. Despite the small sizes she possessed strongly pronounced cruiser kinds: an armour deck, turbine propulsive plant and a high speed. The basic lack of the design were excessive cramping boiler rooms under an armour deck, complicating machine crew work. She was cardinally rebuilt in 1939-1940.
Protection: 25mm protective deck closed machinery spaces.
Modernizations: (1939-1940): hull was lengthened on 5m, Parsons steam turbines are changed by experimental machnery of Götaverken (in essence were first-ever gas turbines), consisting of two de Laval geared turbine sets, two Yarrow boilers and four diesels used as gas generators. Funnel No2 was dummy and installed later. Data was as given in the table.
