Project history: Similar to Norwegian Snögg class.

Modernizations: 1988: diesels were replaced by 2 Cummins KTA50-M (2800hp, 20kts, 550(20)nm), complement became 15; - 6 x 1 RB-11 SSM, 1 x 1 - 57/70, PEAB 9LV200 Mk 2 radar suite; + 1 x 1 - 40/70 Bofors 315, mines, nav. radar

2008: - 1 x 1 - 40/70; + 1 x 1 - 40/70 Sea Trinity, oil recovery equipment

Naval service: Jägaren was retired by navy in 2002 but reinstated by Coastal Artillery (Naval Brigade) in 2008.
