Project history: Chinese type 062. Three boats received in 1998-2000 differ by armament.

Modernizations: None.

Naval service: Suraya and Rakshaka were badly damaged by Tamil Tiger insurgents 13.4.1995, Suraya sunk that day and Rakshaka was never repaired. Ranakami was sunk by Tamil Tigers in 2000.
