Project history: Purpose-built patrols of Secretary of militarised guards of merchant fleet. First was commissioned as Lanzón 1.5.1936, and after beginning of Civil War got under the control of Nationalists. Her sister-ship has got to Republicans (her name is unknown), later transferred to private owner but commissioned by Navy 5.9.1942 as V17, by this time Lanzón was renamed V18.
