Project history: Patrol control launches of state tobacco monopoly of "cruiser" type with diesel and a sails. Design was developed by Thornycroft, built 6 boats (C.I-VI). In 1922-1925 the batch production of boats on advanced design on Spanish factories was developed. Despite general technical design, boats differed on appearance and data. At mobilization by Navy these boats kept their numbers changing digits from Roman to Arabic.

Modernizations: None.

Naval service: In the beginning of Civil war C6 and C21 remained under control of Nationalists, C1-3, 5, 17 and 18 at disposal of carabinieres in territory under control by Republicans, remaining were commissioned by Navy and received DCs. C4, 16 and 20 were captured by Nationalists at capture of Malaga 8.2.1937. C14 and 15 were captured by Nationalists during crash of Republican Northern front in 1937. After Civil war all boats were returned to owner and used by him till 1960s.
