Project history: In 1938 in Barcelona attempt of building of MTBs on one`s own under guidance of Soviet experts has been undertaken. As a basis for the project developed under guidance of engineer Negri, G-5 type MTB was chosen. Two boats were completed, proved as extremely whimsical.

Modernizations: None.

Naval service: Both boats were commissioned by Republican fleet (registered for March, 1938), but actually were not used, and by late 1938 were laid up.
