Project history: Built under the design of Lake. Differed by poor quality of construction and bad battle possibilities.

Modernizations: 1911, all: gasoline engines were shortened (3 cylinders were released in each) (800 / 400hp, 9 / 7kts); + 2 side drop-collars (6 torpedoes at all)

1913, Alligator, Kayman, Krokodil: + 1 x 1 - 47/40 Hotchkiss, 1 x 1 - 7.6/94

1913, Drakon: + 1 x 1 - 47/40 Hotchkiss, 1 x 1 - 37/20 Hotchkiss

Naval service: All 4 boats were laid up in November 1916. Later they all were in a port of Helsingfors on long-term storage where they were captured by Germans and are taken out to Germany (except for Alligator) for dismantling on metal. Alligator staid at Petrograd port till 1924, and then was handed over on demolition.
