Project history: German minesweepers of type 1916, built during First World War.
   M59 was bought by Lithuania 18.7.1927 and became unique rather large ship of Lithuanian Navy. 6.8.1940, since occurrence of Lithuania in the USSR, she was commissioned by Board Guard as guard ship.
   M68 29.10.1917 was mined at Daugavgriva, ran aground and subsequently was repaired at Riga where she was abandoned by Germans and 1.1.1919 included to fleet list of Soviet Latvia as Sarkana Latvija. In July, 1919 she was commissioned by Navy of Latvia as Virsaitis. Since occurrence of Latvia in USSR, 19.8.1940 Virsaitis was commissioned by Baltic Fleet.

Naval service: T-33 was sunk 11.1.1945 by German submarine U745 at Aegna island. Virsaytis 2.12.1941 was lost on mine in Gulf of Finland.
