Project history: Built in Revel and Petrograd, completed in Helsingfors. In total 22 ships were ordered (10 for Putilov Yd, 8 to Metal Wks, 4 for Russo-Baltic Wks), but only 4 were completed.

Modernizations: 1937, Udarnik, Kliuz: - 1 x 1 - 75/48, 1 x 1 - 47/40; + 1 x 1 - 76/28 8K, 1 x 1 - 45/43 21K, 36 mines

Naval service: Zashchitnik and Fortral in 1918 were captured by Finnish troops and completed by Finnish Navy. T-56 25.11.1941 was lost on a mine off Hanko peninsula (Gulf of Finland). T-57 2.9.1942 was lost on a mine at Seskar (Gulf of Finland).
