Project history: Aleksandr Kunakhovich was the largest Soviet hydrofoil, and like Project 1240 she had submerged foils. The two nests of TT (two above two) were located on either side, forward of the superstructure in Project 1141, well aft in Project 1145. At the time of commission main armament of Aleksandr Kunakhovich were 8 SET-72 torpedoes.

Modernizations: 1990: - 2 x 4 - 400 TT; + 2 x 4 Medvedka ASuM (8 K77R)

Naval service: No significant events.
