Project history: Former harbour buoy tenders O-1 - 7, 30.12.1916 commissioned by Baltic Fleet as dispatch vessels. Atarbekov in 1930s passed repair and modernization with reconstruction of hull, replacement of steam engines by diesels etc.

Modernizations: 1930s, Atarbekov, Sobol, Mogilevskiy: - 1 x 1 - 37/20; + 2 x 1 - 7.6/94

late 1930s, Atarbekov: hull was lengthened (273t full, 39.2 x 5.80 x 2.40m), machinery was replaced by 2 diesels with 2 shafts (1600bhp, 14kts, 25t of diesel oil); - 2 x 1 - 75/48, 2 x 1 - 7.6/94; + 2 x 1 - 76/52 34K, 2 x 1 - 12.7/79

1940, Sobol, Mogilevskiy: - 2 x 1 - 75/48, 2 x 1 - 7.6/94; + 3 x 1 - 45/43 21K, 2 x 1 - 12.7/79

Naval service: Barsuk was lost in October, 1917 as result of navigating accident.

     Kunitsa and Khoryok 24.10.1922 were transferred to Board Guard and in 1923 renamed Atarbekov and MogilevskiySobol 12.8.1922 was disarmed, converted to tug and stricken from fleet list.
    22.6.1941 all three ships as guard ships were commissioned by Caspian Flotilla. Sobol 25.11.1943 was disarmed and stricken; Atarbekov and Mogilevskiy 1.8.1944 were returned to Board Guard.
