Project history: Built taking into account experience of the Russian-Japanese war. The project was developed on the basis of torpedo cruiser Vsadnik, differed from a prototype by increased dimensions and structure of artillery.

Naval service: Leytenant Zatsaryonny has sunk on mine SE of Fidonisi beacon 30.6.1917. Kapitan-leytenant Baranov and Leytenant Shestakov 18.6.1918 were scuttled by crews by order of Bolsheviks at Novorossiysk. Kapitan Saken was withdrawn by Whites to Bizerte and broken up in the early 1930s.
