Project history: Development of 350t destroyers of Kit class, differed in the increased hull dimensions and more powerful machinery. Rated as torpedo cruisers, since September, 1907 as destroyers.

Naval service: Dobrovolets was stricken by German mine 21.8.1916 and has sunk in the Irbensky channel (Gulf of Riga). Moskvityanin 21.5.1919 has sunk in the Tyub-Karagan bay (Caspian Sea) after battle against British auxiliary cruisers. 10.1.1920 she was salvaged by Whites, included by them to the Fleet list but never repaired and sunk again by gunfire of own ships 28.3.1920.
