Project history: Improved variant of Leytenant Ilyin with better seaworthiness. Rated as torpedo cruiser and dispatch vessel since October, 1907.

Naval service: In 1907 Abrek was converted to despatch vessel and transferred to the Board Guard Corps. With beginning of WWI she was again returned to Baltic Fleet; BU in 1948.
