Project history: Built on similarity of French torpedo boats of Cyclone class.
Modernizations: 1914, all survived: - 1 x 2 - 381 TT; + mechanical minesweeping gear
1915, all survived: - minesweeping gear
Naval service: No221 has sunk during a storm in Mediterranean sea 25.2.1904. In days of WWI boats were used as minesweepers and dispatch vessels. 18.7.1915 No218 was mined in Gulf of Bothnia, but remained afloat and in 3 months returned to service. All survived boats were captured by Finnish troops 13.4.1918 at Helsingfors. Later they as obsolete were transferred by Soviet Government to Finland and broken up.
