Project history: An iron-hulled, wood-sheathed, central battery ship, the hull being recessed fore and aft of the battery to allow some axial fire. The 229mm guns were in a short battery with the 152mm fore and aft on the upper deck. The Knyaz' Pozharskiy was fully rigged and was said to be a bad seaboat.
Ship protection: The 102mm belt was complete on the waterline, and the ram projected 2.4m.

Naval service: Reclassified as TS in March 1906, converted to hulk in October 1909, sold for BU in April 1911.
