Project history: Merchant vessels converted to netlayers during World War One.

Modernizations: None.

Naval service: Ayu-Dag was captured by Germans at Sevastopol 1.5.1918 and later escaped to Bizerte with Wrangel. Chorokh was also captured by Germans but later was returned to Russia and served as merchant.
