Project history: Boats were designed for police service on rivers and lakes on the basis of project bought in Germany, built as Board Guard boats, runabouts and office boats. Unlike a prototype, had wooden hull and one automobile motor. In days of war they were converted to patrol, smoke curtain and minesweeping launches.
Modernizations: 1941, I-21 - 23, 25 - 28, 32, 33, 48, No26, 27, 603-607: + mechanical minesweeping gear.
