Project history: Design was developed by German-Dutch company IvS and was close to German VII series submarines, having smaller dimensions. Submarine was built at Galatz with technical support of AG Weser. A saddle-tank construction. Tactical number S1.
Modernizations: None.
Naval service: 5.9.1944 Requinul was captured by Soviet troops at Constanza and 14.9.1944 commissioned by Soviet Navy as TS-1. 3.7.1951 she was stricken by Soviet Navy and in August, 1951 returned to Romania (on other data, she was never commissioned again by Romanian Navy).
